Microsoft has a better relationship with netflix than sony.
Anyone that says the only game 360 has is GoW2 is simply close minded or can't be arsed to actually find out what games are coming on the system.
The 360 has a great lineup, and with Killzone being pushed back, I'd go so far as to say it could end up better than the PS3's depending on how good MGS4 turns out.
No.
You cannot compare the first year of the PS3 to the first year of the 360.
You compare the years they sell in together. Compare the 07-08, not 06-07 for 360 and 07-08 for the PS3.
The entire video game market exploded over 06-07 in 07-08. Every console sold more than it would have in 06-07. By your model, the PS3 will always be showing more growth because the industry is expanding, favoring the later released console.
It's just like adju...
The 360 is getting the new chipset released in august that's going to reduce costs quite a bit.
360 is more than ready for a very aggressive price drop especially in the US. It's already had a huge price drop in EU.
This is a little biased, but you can't yell at him if you're not gonna yell at the people that post all the sony biased crap.
There were weekly articles about microsoft's world tumbling down because of GTA posted by sony fans.
Be consistent if you're going to judge people.
You're taking into account post-startup money. You have to take into account that they had to open or expand their repair stations drastically (probably where a good portion of the money went) for EVERY REGION to ensure faster return times. Added customer service, and new positions probably followed. While it might cost them today $50 to fix my console, it probably cost them $500,000,000 just to get everything set up to get that $50 repair price.
What happens when M$ drops it's price to under $200. That's a hard price to argue with tbh.
Microsoft is in a much better position than sony right now when it comes to price. I'd anticipate a price cut before the holidays to cut a lot of wind out of sony's sails (sales... sails... get it?! IT'S A PUN).
seriously, you can't predict the effects of sony's future actions without accounting for M$'s potential future actions. You think m$ is just going to put the gaming di...
I've been using xbl since it was released. I have had nearly zero problems with lag whatsoever.
I hit maybe 1 game a night where the game will lag, but most developers are doing a great job of network coding for P2P right now as far as host choice etc. goes. The difference is completely minimal 9 out of 10 times.
Microsoft didn't pour nearly as much money into HD-DVD as sony did blu-ray. They didn't have nearly as big a stake in it as you think. HD-DVD gave the biggest hit to toshiba, not microsoft.
On XMB, they aren't even similar. One is used simply for browsing. This I can do on a computer. There is no benefit to me browsing on a console over my computer other than the fact that it's more difficult and on a lower resolution screen (wait... did I say benefit?). When I'm on my console, I...
That just wouldn't make any sense.
Even if it's not selling as well as japanese products (I know, wierd right?) it's still gaining a small foothold. As long as they don't upset with their next console the numbers will be even bigger there (though probably still less than any japanese product).
Any sales are better than no sales.
one is a joke, and one is stupid.
You do know there's an edit button...
It's ok to cut games out of the 360 lineup, but it's not ok to count any out of the PS3 lineup. right?
@ dante
"-still hasnt fixed RROD"
They have fixed RROD tremendously. consider around 50% of launch consoles had an issue, and the total sales of the 360 have a 17% failure rate. That's a pretty decent number for a new console bought today. Forgive them for not personally going to each launch console owner's house and giving them a brand new shiny box.

You can tell enough from a crappy youtube video. Lighting, color, and animation all get across fine through youtube. The only thing that suffers is detail, which makes little affect on the end game compared to lighting, color, and animation(especially a game that looks as fast paced as that).
The environments look a lot better than the ones in the original. That's the one the biggest thing I took away from it. The squad combat I'm still not sure about. There's not much stopping a...
he's saying the problem isn't the game, it's that society allows that kind of game to be so appealing. It is a very real problem. GTA4 not quite as much as San Andreas, but he has a good point in raising the fact that children are so drawn in to the types of violence in GTA's and even moreso that their parents are more than ready to buy them for their children.
is kind of proving his point. If you live in america at least. He's got one of the biggest political shows on tv right now.
Video game bloggers are losers though. I was for a while and I agree completely.
Why would the delay a title that we've known about since pre-launch and has been one of their most anticipated games to make room for a game that was announced less than a year ago?
Killzone delays are going to kill that game. Every time it gets set back it's going to look that much worse compared to games it's released with.
He said he'd rather download movies than download movies.
The latter comment is also true. 360 is more a beta test for the marketplace than it is the launch pad for DD.
idk if you've heard of this, but they have this exposition every year. Lots of video game news goes down there. Maybe I'm the only one that's heard of it...
/sarcasm
Seriously, you people need to cool your jets. E3 hasn't even come yet. You're prematurely dismissing the 360 because it hasn't prematurely announced it's lineup for the next 5 years.
Does it not seem at all fishy to all of you that the PS3 has more TBA games than any other console? There is ...
